Young Adult Programs
At Cottonwood Recovery, we recognize that the treatment needs of young adults are vastly different from those in other age groups. For our young adult patients, we offer a treatment approach that integrates recovery concepts with developmental perspectives to create an active and targeted treatment plan. Our young adults are assigned to age-specific primary groups that address their unique treatment needs. Young adult specialty groups address issues such as relapse prevention, managing relationships, and understanding developmental milestones.
Family Program
Family program is a five-day intensive process that combines an educational component with structured communication exercises to address issues of conflict and concern as well as to strengthen communication and heal relationships. Family members stay at a nearby hotel and are transported to and from the facility. Family program is also offered on an outpatient basis to families who want to augment current relationship and/or family counseling.
Health Services
Many individuals come to treatment with chronic and complex health needs. At Cottonwood Recovery, we provide medical management of these issues through our fully staffed medical clinic. Our on-site nursing facility and medical clinic provide necessary medical intervention for our patients 24 hours per day. We also offer detox services to address any substance, with a maximum capacity of eight detox beds. Each patient requiring detox will be safely monitored in our detox unit, located within our nursing station.
Discharge Planning
At Cottonwood Recovery, we realize that recovery is a life-long process and not an event. This understanding allows us to assess the continued recovery needs of each patient after they complete treatment. Patients participate in the development of a continuing care plan which may include referrals for extended residential care, intensive outpatient programs, individual or group therapy, and/or psychiatric care.
