Cottonwood Centre London
Services
Assessment and Referral
Prompt appointments for those requiring clinical or psychiatric evaluation prior to admission as an inpatient to Cottonwood Recovery, or referral to an appropriate outpatient service.
Cottonwood Workshops
Six or more times a year the London centre conducts Understanding Relationships workshops held over three days, usually Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, which are presented by Cottonwood Recovery therapists. The workshops are very popular, and may be booked through the London office.
Aftercare
Patients returning from Arizona to Europe meet with a Cottonwood therapist to discuss their experience of treatment, and to assess future therapeutic needs. If ongoing counselling is needed then referral to a Cottonwood recognised practitioner will be arranged.
Many patients return to their referring therapist, and are encouraged to do so by the Centre, which offers to liaise if appropriate, and where necessary. An aftercare group takes place each Wednesday evening from 7pm to 8.30pm to which patients are very welcome to attend.
Group Work
The London Centre has one other group, Healing and Change, facilitated by a well-known London therapist, Stuart MacFarlane, which is held on Thursday evenings, 7pm to 9pm. Participants join by rotation, and commit to six week blocks.
Spring Workshops
Held three times a year this workshop series is presented by Rokelle Lerner and Jenny Levitt in association with Cottonwood Recovery. The workshops are usually over two days , and have been developed by Rokelle Lerner to reflect her expertise. The topics include Learning to Let Go, Healthy Boundaries, Healing Our Shame, and Developing Close Relationships.
Breakfast Seminars
Held several times a year the seminars are for GPs, Consultants, and Therapists. These are a means of keeping practitioners informed of Cottonwood developments, enhancing relationships, and introducing Cottonwood Recovery therapists. Usually there will be a presentation by the visiting staffer.
Consultancy and Partnership
Cottonwood is interested in responding to requests for knowledge and help in developing facilities and will be pleased to discuss any possibilities with an interested party, in strictest confidence.
